Hooton Engineering have been successful in being awarded a grant from Grants for Growth Administered by South Holland District Council.

The grant has aided Hooton in purchasing specialised equipment to provide a surface finish on Stainless Steel to enable the company to satisfy a recently awarded contract to supply cones and specialised valves to an large international company.

Andrew Janney, Production Director, was delighted to be able to add the new equipment to the capabilities of the modern workshop facilities, he said “Adding this Swaging and Rumbling facility to Hooton ‘s existing capabilities enables us to undertake more work in house and be in charge of the overall quality rather than sub-contracting this important work. This will enable the company to increase our offer to our existing customers and offer more opportunities for customers looking to single source complex fabrications. Since obtaining our quality standards 3 years ago our customer base has grown from smaller localised customers to large national and even multinational customers”
